Cauliflower Pepper Fry
An excellent side dish with cauliflower.
Ingredients
- Cauliflower – 1 (big)
- Garlic – 8 to 10 flakes
- Small onions – 1 cp
- Curry leaves – a few
- Ghee – 2 tbsps
- Aniseeds – 1tsp
- Salt to taste.
To be Grinded
- Red chillies – 2
- Small onions – 8 or 10
- Jeera – 1 tsp
- Pepper – 1 tsp
- Cashews – 8
Method
Take the items to be grinded, fry them with a little ghee and grind into a fine paste.
Separate the cauliflower into big flowerettes.
Heat ghee in a pan and add the aniseeds, when it starts to splutter, add the small onions and garlic with the curry leaves and fry them till they turn into golden brown.
Then add the cut cauliflower with little water, close with a lid.
Let it be in a low flame, until the cauliflower is cooked and the water is completely absorbed.
Mix the grounded paste, with a little ghee and salt to it.
Fry in a low flame constantly till the ground mixture coats the cauliflower and the ghee is separated.
The cauliflower pepper fry is ready.
It is goes well with chappattis or rice.
