Delicious Stuffed Mushrooms Good for any Occasion
A recipe to make delicious stuffed mushrooms that everyone will love. Don’t be surprised if you are asked to make these mushrooms over and over again.
Here is my recipe for fantastic stuffed mushrooms that will be a hit anytime you serve them.
Ingredients
24 large mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 clove of garlic
1/4 cup of butter
2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1 cup of bacon
1 cup of sausage
1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
wash and dry the mushrooms. Use a knife to carve out the mushroom stems. Make sure you remove all of the stem to make more room for the stuffing. It helps to scape the inside of the mushroom with a spoon to remove any leftover stem. Finely chop 1 cups worth of stems. Mince the garlic, green onions, bacon and sausage. I use a small food processor for the mincing. Cook the stems, onions, garlic and butter in a sauce pan over medium heat until tender. Once tender, remove from heat and stir in the bread crumbs, bacon and sausage and the Parmesan cheese. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed out mushrooms. Don’t over fill the mushrooms as the stuffing will rise during baking. Try to get the stuffing even with the top of the mushroom. Place the mushrooms in a baking pan or on a cookie sheet. Bake in the oven set at 425 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes. Remove form the oven, let cool and enjoy your stuffed mushrooms.
