Fried Leeks

Crispy fried leeks that are easy and tasty too.

Ingredients

  • 4 leeks sliced and rinsed
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 3 qts of oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

Separate flour into two half cups, place in two bowls. Preheat oil to 375 degrees. Mix milk and egg together in third bowl. Dunk leeks into the first flour bowl, then into the milk egg bowl. Put leeks in the next flour bowl, coat, and drop into fryer. Fry for 30-45 seconds or until crisp. Remove and drain, salt and pepper and Voila!
