How to Cook Perfect Brown Rice
Brown rice is healthy, and it’s easy to cook.
Many people say it’s hard to cook brown rice, but actually it’s quite easy.
I find the best way to cook it is using a stove. I have tried using the rice cooker but the outcome was not good. I get good results when cooking brown rice on a stove. I have cooked this so many times already, like more than 30 times. I buy brown rice from Costco.
These are the instructions:
The ratio is 1:2 (one cup rice and 2 cups water).
- Boil the water
- Put the brown rice into boiling water. Reduce to medium heat.
- Let the rice simmer for about 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Keep the lid half closed. During the last 5-10 minutes, reduce the heat to about low/medium. Stir occasionally so the rice doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot.
