How to Cook Perfect Brown Rice

Brown rice is healthy, and it’s easy to cook.

Many people say it’s hard to cook brown rice, but actually it’s quite easy.

I find the best way to cook it is using a stove. I have tried using the rice cooker but the outcome was not good. I get good results when cooking brown rice on a stove. I have cooked this so many times already, like more than 30 times. I buy brown rice from Costco.

These are the instructions:

The ratio is 1:2 (one cup rice and 2 cups water).

  1. Boil the water
  2. Put the brown rice into boiling water. Reduce to medium heat.
  3. Let the rice simmer for about 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Keep the lid half closed. During the last 5-10 minutes, reduce the heat to about low/medium. Stir occasionally so the rice doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot.
  4. Enjoy!
