How to Make Healthy French Fries

published by bearhugs on Jul 8, 2009

This article teaches how to make your own French fries at home. It is a very healthy alternative to buying French fries at the fast food. It is a very easy and simple recipe.

Bake your French fries instead of deep-frying them.  The taste is just as good.  These French fries are much healthier because you only need to use a little bit of oil.  This is a great healthy snack for the kids!

Ingredients

  • Potatoes
    Olive oil
    Salt and pepper

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Peel the potatoes.
  3. Chop them into long strips.
  4. Put the potato strips in a bowl.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Sprinkle salt and pepper.
  7. Cover the bowl and give it a shake to coat the potatoes evenly.
  8. Pan fry the potatoes slightly to brown the sides.
  9. Place the potatoes in a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for about half an hour or until fries are golden brown.
  11. Serve hot.  Enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed this healthy french fries recipe!

Great Article, but if you want to make even lower fat fries try using a one calorie spray of oil! And make sure it’s olive oil!
