Mashed Potatoes

A recipe for mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Potatoes peeled and cut into large chunks
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¾ cup whole milk

Method

  1. In a large saucepan combine the potatoes, two teaspoons of salt, and enough cold water to cover the potatoes.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Lower the heat to maintain a simmer and cook until fork tender, about fifteen to twenty minutes.
  4. Drain then add the potatoes and butter to the mixer and mix until blended.
  5. Heat the milk in the microwave just until hot, but not boiling.
  6. Stir into the potatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.
