There is a recipe from Burundi which has its administrative city on Lake Tanganyika called Bujumbura. The recipe is made of ndagala a small salty fish which is available in large quantities in the deepest lakes.
Green bananas and ndagala

Ingedients
- 5 green bananas
- 500 mg of fresh ndagala
- 3 big red tomates
- 1 tea spoon of cooking oil
Method
- Peel the green bananas
- Wash the green peeled bananas
- Cut bananas in small chunks
- boil green bananas and leave them firm
- Wash the ndagala
- Boil the 3 big red tomatoes
- Peel the 3 big red tomatoes
- Put the ndagala and the red peeled tomotoes in the green bananas, add 1 tea spoon of oil and cook for 30 minutes.
