Easy to Make Bechamel Sauce
The quickest way to make this sauce. Goes well with all pasta dishes specially lasagna.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp white flour
- 2tbsp butter
- 2 cups warm milk
- 3-4 pepper corns
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 small bay leaf
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Method
- Heat butter on a low flame and quickly add in the flour. stir well quickly for about half a minute and immediately pour in the milk.
- Keep stirring continuously,raising the heat a little now. Put in the bay leaf ,pepper corns and thyme.
- Remove from stove when thick. If it’s turned very thick,add in more milk until a smooth white paste is formed.
- Allow to cool a little. Then remove the bay leaf and peppercorns from it. Season with salt and black pepper.
