This snappy little sauce might make the local Gyro stand a bit jealous!

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVE Greek gyro sandwiches!
The place for multiple cucumber sauces, so I decided to try and make my
own. I added a few of my own ingredients, and I assure you, you won’t
be disappointed in this remarkably tangy and flavourful cucumber sauce!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups PLAIN yogart
  • 1/2 cup whole sour cream
  • 5 green onion stalks/ or 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1 small cucumber peeled, seeded, and finely shredded
  • 1/4 cup sliced greek olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped pepperchininis with stems and seeds removed
  • 1/2 cup finely crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 hard shakes garlic salt

Method

Take chilled metal mixing bowl and add yogurt and sour cream, Mix well.

Add finely chopped green onion whites, shredded cucumber, greek olives, and peppers. Mix well.

Add fetta cheese to mix, adding more or less until you get a nice thick consistency. Salt to taste.

Refridgerate.

There you have it! I’m sure you will enjoy this tasty little rendition

of a greek cucumber sauce! Enjoy!

I noticed that there is a part missing from my intro paragraph. It is supposed to read “The place I used to go for gyro sandwiches used to charge me for multiple cucumber sauces”…

Also, tsatziki is the greek name for cucumber sauce.

You could also throw in a bit of tomato and/or cilantro.
