Quick and Easy Pasta Sauce

published by Vincent Lacey on Feb 28, 2009

This is a simple sauce for cooked pasta that can be made in minutes.

I was tired of buying jars of supermarket pasta sauce so I came up with a quick recipe for my own. This sauce can be made in minutes and is very tasty. It may also be used as the tomato sauce for a pizza base.

Ingredients

2 medium tomatoes (any sweet variety)

1 clove of garlic

Some Finely Chopped Basil

Olive Oil

Parmesan Cheese

Salt and Pepper

Method

1) In a bowl crush up the tomatoes and add some chopped basil (about 2 teaspoons), the crushed garlic clove, a  teaspoon of olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Mix well

2) Grate in a little parmesan cheese and mix

3) Heat on a low heat for a couple of minutes

4) Mix into freshly cooked pasta and serve onto a plate

5) Grate a little more Parmesan on the top and allow it to melt a little before eating
