Sauteed Mushrooms

published by asiancamille on Sep 1, 2009

I love going to a late dinner at Hawaii’s best 24/7 restaurant; Zippy’s. I always have to have my sautee mushrooms but unfortunately what they serve for me is not enough so I decided to make my own.

Ingredients:

  • 4 handful of mushrooms (don’t use shiitake or anything for soup. Smaller one like these are the best!)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 t garlic salt or you may sub. it with 4 cloves of garlic; diced and 3 t salt but I suggest garlic salt.
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • pepper to taste

Method

Clean and wash mushrooms. Cut it the way I have, and not too thin. Heat a frying pan with butter and garlic. Don’t burn the garlic or it will taste bitter. Add the mushrooms right before it turns golden brown and add the garlic salt. [ Or if you are using garlic and the salt, add the 4 cloves instead of just 1 clove and sautee, once you add the mushroom then you may add the salt.)

Sautee all together until the mushroom shrinks and you will know that it is ready once the mushrooms start letting out juiced to the pan and have gotten a brown tone color.

Now you may serve it as a side dish. Enjoy.
