Southern Cole Slaw
Tangy and sweet Cole slaw.
Slaw Mix Ingredients:
- 1 sm. head of purple cabbage sliced paper thin
- 1 sm. head of green cabbage sliced paper thin
- 1-2 granny smith apples peeled and sliced into thin sticks
- 1 red onion sliced
- 1 cup of toasted pecans or walnuts
- 1 carrot skinned and shredded
Dressing Ingredients:
- 1 Tbs good brand Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp of sugar
- ¾ cup of mayonnaise
- Lemon juice from one freshly squeezed lemon
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp garlic
- ½ -¼ tsp salt (depending on taste)
- ½ tsp cumin
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients listed under “dressing,” in a large bowl.
- Add all the ingredients listed under “slaw mix” into the bowl.
- Use tongs to combine all, just till all the ingredients are moist.
- Top with a few dashes of Paprika and serve.

You know, I never used to like cole slaw until I moved down south. I love this stuff now. This recipe sounds awesome. I might have to make this tonight with some burgers.
