For this recipe, you must leave the plain nonfat yogurt in the yogurt sieve for at least 48 hours so that your yogurt cheese will be as firm as cream cheese.

Ingredients
1 cup Basic Yogurt Cheese, made from nonfat yogurt
4 ounces crabmeat
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon onion, minced
1 teaspoon fresh chives, finely chopped
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Procedure
For this recipe, you must leave the plain nonfat yogurt in the yogurt sieve for at least 48 hours so that your yogurt cheese will be as firm as cream cheese.
- Squeeze excess water from crab. Chop crabmeat coarsely and blot well with paper towel.
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Blend well with a fork.
- Spoon mixture into serving dish. Refrigerate an hour.
To serve, spread on toast, crackers or serve with vegetables. If yogurt thins, serve as a dip with crackers or pita bread triangles. Serves 24.
