Grape Jelly

Make grape jelly from grape juice.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (6 oz) of Grape Juice
  • 2 ½ cups of water
  • Powered Fruit Pectin
  • 4 ½ cups Sugar
  • ½ tsp of butter

Method

  1. Start with clean, sterilized canning Jars and lids.
  2. Boil water in Water Bath.
  3. Mix juice, 2 ½ cups of water, butter and the Fruit Pectin in a large saucepan.
  4. Stir constantly over high heat until bubbles form around the edge.
  5. Add all the Sugar and stir.
  6. Skim any foam off of the jelly.
  7. Ladle jelly into canning jars.
  8. Wipe rims of canning jars.
  9. Place the lid on the jar and screw on the screw top.
  10. Process the jars of jelly in Water Bath for 15 minutes.
  11. Remove jars from Water Bath and cool.
