Herb-Flavored Butter

A decorative container filled with herb-flavored butters can be a great gift.

You Will Need

Fresh herbs of your choice

Paper towels

Chopping board

Sharp knife or herb chopper

Salt

Best quality unsalted butter

saucers or small mixing bowls

Spatula

Method 

1. Rinse small bunches of herbs carefully in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Now chop each herb very finely on a chopping board, keeping each herb seperate.

2. Cut the unsalted butter into medium-sized pieces and allow to soften at room temperature. Sprinkle a little sat over the herbs. This will help to crush the hers and release their flavor.

3. Mix the herbs with the softened butter using a spatula. When thoroughly mixed together, pack into decorative containers and chill in the refrigerator until required.
