Pecan Pastries

published by skylite on Dec 12, 2010

Here is a recipe my mother used to make when I was younger. This is a recipe I have carried over to making for my children.

   Ingredients :

 1 package cream cheese

 1/2 cup margarine

 1 cup flour

 1 egg

 3/4 cup brown sugar

 1 tbsp butter

 2/3 cups pecans

How to make the pastry :

Let your cream cheese and your margarine come to room temperature. Blend together and sift in flour. Chill for about an hour in the fridge.

Shape in 1 inch balls and place in muffin tins. Press the dough evenly against the bottom and sides .

How to make the filling :

Beat together egg, brown sugar and butter until smooth. Divide half the pecans along the pastry lined tins. Add egg mixture and top with the left over pecans.

Bake in oven for approximately 25 minutes on 325. Cool before you remove them from the pan.

This recipe is tasty for anyone who is looking for a nice treat. It will make approximately two dozen pastries. Enough for the whole family to enjoy !
