Remade Jelly

published by Darla Smith on Apr 13, 2009

Have you ever tried making homemade jelly and then have it not turn out right? This is a recipe that will save your “failed” jelly.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. “failed” jelly
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Sure-Jell

Method

Combine the “failed” jelly and the sugar together; set aside. Place the water and the Sure-Jell in a 1-quart saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the “failed” jelly mixture and bring to a full rolling boil. Remove from heat, skim and pour into sterilized jars. Cover with paraffin wax. Repeat the process unto all the “failed” jelly has been remade.

I’ve often tried and failed to make home made jelly, thanks for this Darla, I love your recipes (especially the ones with peanut butter and chocolate)
