Ridge Gourd Chutney

A tasty chutney that goes well with all bread varieties and Dosas.

Ingredients

  • 1 Big ridge gourd
  • 2 Big onions 
  • 1 cup fresh grated coconut
  • 2 green chillies
  • Cilantro and curry leaves to a combined cup of 1
  • 2 tsp oil for frying and cooking.
  • 1/4 tsp Dhaniya
  • 1/4 tsp Jeera
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper

Method

  1. Peel the skin of ridge gourd and cut them into pieces.
  2. Fry all the spices along with chopped onion, curry leaves ,cilantro and ridge gourd.
  3. Blend this fried mixture into a fine paste along with coconut.
  4. Heat 1 tsp oil in a wok and cook the ground mixture until the oil layers itself above.
  5. Serve hot with Chappati or Dosa.
