Steamed Jam Pudding
This is a absolute scrumptious recipe!
Ingredients:
- 50g of butter or margarine
- 75g sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons of milk
- 100g of self raising flour
- 8 drops of vanilla
- 3 tablespoons of jam
Method:
- Fill a large saucepan with water and boil it.
- Grease the steamer container and put piece of oven bake in bottom (this stops the jam from sticking).
- Put jam on the bottom of container.
- Cream the butter and sugar.
- Beat the egg and mix it in the creamed mixture.
- Stir the milk gradually and then add vanilla. Stir the flour into the mixture. Pour the mixture into the bowl, cover and steam for 1.5 hours.
