Steamed Jam Pudding

This is a absolute scrumptious recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 50g of butter or margarine
  • 75g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of milk
  • 100g of self raising flour
  • 8 drops of vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons of jam

Method:

  1. Fill a large saucepan with water and boil it.
  2. Grease the steamer container and put piece of oven bake in bottom (this stops the jam from sticking).
  3. Put jam on the bottom of container.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar.
  5. Beat the egg and mix it in the creamed mixture.
  6. Stir the milk gradually and then add vanilla. Stir the flour into the mixture. Pour the mixture into the bowl, cover and steam for 1.5 hours.
  7. Enjoy!
