Tomato Jam

A very nutritious jam made from tomato, very delectable and good for the whole family.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of tomatoes
  • ½ cup refined sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. lemon rind/zest
  • 2 pcs. Pandan leaves

Procedure:

  1. Wash tomatoes.
  2. Boil water in a casserole.
  3. Put the tomatoes and let it boil for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove tomatoes from the casserole and transfer in a bowl with cold water.
  5. Peel the tomatoes and cut into halves.
  6. Remove the seeds and drain. Set aside.
  7. Cut the tomatoes into smaller pieces. Put it into the Osterizer together with the ½ cup sugar, lemon juice and lemon rind.
  8. Put it in a pan and let it simmer with the Pandan leaves until it thickens.
  9. Let it cool and transfer it into clean bottle or jar. Keep refrigerated.
