Surprise Baked Tomatoes Recipe for Beginners
published by Buma on Aug 23, 2009
Easy recipe for new cookers, beginners, anyone who loves food, and everyone else in between…
Ingredients
- 4 Large Tomatoes
- 4 Eggs
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon of chopped parsley
Method
- Cut a small slice of each tomato and scoop out the seeds and pulp out with a spoon. Sprinkle salt and pepper inside each of the tomatoes. (Don’t throw away the tops!)
- Prepare an ovenproof dish and put the tomatoes in the dish. Break an egg into each one and sprinkle salt and pepper (again for more taste) and parsley on top.
- Put the tops you sliced on step one on top of the tomatoes, and now your tomatoes are ready for cooking in the oven. (Oven setting: 180®C/350®F) Cook them in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- Ready to be eaten!
Great when having visitors or guests coming, excellent for light meals with the family, and as a treat or appetizer it’s still delicious.
Happy cooking!
