A Story about beans one of the ingredients:

Beans make the wealth of Burundi, the base of all foods. As Hungary used to be part of Germany, Beans are very popular on Octoberfeast. Beans contain amidon which helps to reduce anger and feelings of sadness. Beans are not expensive and can be added to any dinner for small and big pockets. Beans allow you to remain humble and open minded. So, this is definitely a dish to recommend to all ages of the populations especially if they want to develop friendship.

    Hello!
Just geographical correction: Hungary Is East European country, and was not part of Germany, but formed Empire with Austria during Habsburgs.
Otherwise thanks for original and interesting recipe, I am trying to find more about African cousine.
When it comes to origin of beans:
Beans originated in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East where they have been cultivated for thousands of years. Beans were found in the tombs of ancient Egyptian pharaohs and they were still viable after centuries of storage. It is thought that the first beans were brought to America from Europe/Siberia by nomadic tribes crossing the Bering Strait into Alaska. Large and baby lima beans originated in Peru, thus the name “lima”. They were brought to California on a merchant ship around 1900.
