Bavarian Potato Soup

Soup in less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2oz pearl barley
  • 1lb potatoes (diced)
  • 1 large onion (grated)
  • 2 carrots (grated)
  • 2 sticks celery (finely chopped)
  • 2 pints ham stock
  • 2tbsp chives (chopped)
  • 2tbsp parsley (chopped)
  • small carton single cream

Method

Cook all the vegetables and barley in the ham stock until they are very soft. Add some herbs and cream. Serve with crusty bread.
