Bavarian Potato Soup
Soup in less than 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2oz pearl barley
- 1lb potatoes (diced)
- 1 large onion (grated)
- 2 carrots (grated)
- 2 sticks celery (finely chopped)
- 2 pints ham stock
- 2tbsp chives (chopped)
- 2tbsp parsley (chopped)
- small carton single cream
Method
Cook all the vegetables and barley in the ham stock until they are very soft. Add some herbs and cream. Serve with crusty bread.
