Chicken Dinner for Moms on The Run
Here is a quick and easy chicken and potato recipe for dinner. You don’t need to be a cook for this recipe so it is ideal for new wives, newly weds, and non-cooks. It really is one of those recipes you just throw in a pan and put in the oven! A good recipe for kids dinners, as it is also healthy.
Here is a recipe for dinner that almost anyone will eat. It is easy, healthy and quick to prepare, best of all you don’t need to have any cooking skills to accomplish this dish. This chicken and potato dinner is baked in the oven, so no fat added, you don’t even add oil. You can serve it with rice, although the potatoes provide the carbohydrates to this meal, and add some green vegetables or salad to the dinner table completing the meal. If there are no children eating you can add hot paprika as well. Don’t freak out if you are missing any of the ingredients, you can mix and match with this recipe adding a different combination of spices depending on what you have on hand.

Ingredients:
6 chicken pieces (drum sticks and thighs)
3 large potatoes
1/2 a green pepper
1/2 and onion
3 cloves of crushed garlic
2 tsps cumin
2 tsps sweet paprika
2 tsps turmeric
2 tsp chicken soup powder
1 tsp salt
Method:
Before you start put the oven on to 180 degrees centigrade.
Line a Pyrex dish with silver/aluminum paper.
Wash the chicken and throw it in the lined Pyrex.
Peal the potatoes and cut them into quarters, add them to the Pyrex.
Slice the onion into large pieces and add to the dish.
Cut the pepper into long strips and add to the dish.
Peel and crush the garlic, then add it to the dish.
Now it is all in, sprinkle the spices on top, roll up your sleeves and mix it all up with your hands.
Put in the oven and bake for 45 minutes – 90 minutes depending on your oven. When it is brown test the potatoes with a fork, take out of the oven and serve.
Really really simple delicious and healthy dinner recipe, perfect for newly-weds, non-cooks and mothers in a hurry!
