Chicken Soup

Chicken soup is nice to have on hand when you are feeling ill or just something because it has a nice flavor. You can prepare this and freeze any left over portions for future use.

 Ingredients

  •  chicken and the chicken bones ( this is what is left over when you have had chicken the night before and you never ate all of it)
  •  1 bay leaf
  •  pinch of salt
  •  1/2 cup noodles
  •  1 can tomatoes
  •  oxo cubes
  •  1 cup cut up potatoes

Method

  1.  Place chicken bones in a pot on the stove. Pour in water til the chicken is half covered with water. Add bay leaf.
  2.  Boil for half and hour. Take off the stove and strain to get rid of the bones.
  3.  Place back on stove and add noodles and boil for 2 minutes. Turn to sim. Add tomatoes, oxo cubes ( taste your soup after you add your oxo cubes to see if you need to add more for flavor ), and potatoes. Heat for another 40 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
  4.  Tip : Add celery, onion or anything else you might like to taste in your soup.

 Enjoy !
