Grandma Anna’s Indonesian Styled Rice
Today it is a fusion of Italian cuisine with more exotic ingredients.
Ingredients for 4 people:
350 gr. Parboiled rice -
1 onion -
1 chilli pepper-
curry powder-
soy sauce -
1 small chicken breast -
100 gr sausage (optional)
one half red and one half yellow pepper -
half a banana -
40 gr. butter -
2 tablespoons olive oil -
a little broth (made with stock is fine)-
salt.

Preparation:
Boil the rice for 15 minutes in salted water, drain and let it cool. Put the butter and oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped onion and the chilli pepper that you have previously crumbled. Add the chicken breast that you have chopped in small pieces and if you like the evenly chopped sausage. Brown everything, add salt and a pinch of curry. Pour a ladle of hot broth and cook slowly in a covered container for 10 minutes. Pour the rice into the sauce and stir over medium heat for 2 or 3 minutes. Turn off the heat, seasonwith a tablespoon of soy sauce and decorate with strips of bell pepper and slices of banana. Serve hot
