Healthy Diet: Chinese Soup

Tum Yum Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

((For 2 Servings)

·         8 cups clear vegetable stock

·         ½ cup mushrooms (sliced)

·         ½ cup cauliflower (boiled)

·         ½ cup capsicum (cut into square)

·         ½ cup carrot (cut into square)

·         1 onion ((cut into square)

·         2 green chilli (cut lengthwise)

·         1 tablespoon roughly chopped lemon grass

·         1 teaspoon lemon juice

·         2 pinches Ajinomoto powder (optional)

·         2 to 3 drops oil

·         salt to taste

Preparation:

·         In a pan put the stock to boil.

·         Add the mushrooms, cauliflower, capsicum, cauliflower, carrot, onion, green chilli, lemon grass, Ajinomoto and salt and boil for 5-6 minutes.

·         Add the lemon juice and top with oil.

 

Lung Fung Soup

 

Ingredients:

(For 2 Servings)

 

·         4 cups Water

·         ½  Cup Noodles

·         3 tsp Corn flour

·         2 tsp garlic (chopped)

·         ¼ cup capsicum (chopped)

·         ½ cup cabbage (chopped)

·         ¼ cup carrot (chopped)

·         ¼ cup French beans (chopped)

·         ¼ cup spring Onion (chopped)

·         1 tsp oil

·         4 tsp butter

·         1 egg (optional)

·         ½ tsp chilly sauce

·         ½ tsp vinegar

·         ½ tsp black pepper powder

·         ½ tsp sugar

·         Salt to taste

 

Preparation:

 

·         Boil 4 cups of water add oil and salt.

·         Now add Noodles & boil until done.

·         Strain the access water and wash noodles in cold water.

·         Put some oil so that it does not become sticky.

·         Heat the butter in pan add chopped garlic and sauté it.

·         Add capsicum, cabbage, carrot, French beans and spring onion. Sauté it for 2 minutes.

·         Now add 2 cups of water, salt, sugar, vinegar, black pepper powder, chilli sauce and boil it for 3-4 minutes.

·         Mean while mix corn flour with 3 tsp of water and make a paste.

·         Add corn flour paste in soup and boil it for 2 minutes.

·         Beat egg white properly.

·         Add it in boiling soup drop by drop with spoon, so that small egg balls will come up in the soup.

·         For serving take a soup bowl put boiled noodles.

·         Pour hot soup in the bowl and garnish it with spring onion.
