Home Cooking: Chicken Carrot and Tomato Soup

One of the soup that I frequently prepare for my family. The ingredients are easily available, simple to prepare, and nutritious. The cooking time is less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  1. One medium size carrot, peeled and cut into smaller sizes;
  2. Two tomatoes, wedged;
  3. One potato, peeled and diced;
  4. One big onion, peeled and diced.
  5. Chicken breast meat (you can also use chicken bones or thighs).
  6. Seasoning : salt, pepper and chicken stock granule.

Method

Bring to boil 5 cups of water in a soup pot; put in chicken breast meat, carrot, potato, and onions,  bring to boil for 5 minutes with medium fire.  Add in tomatoes and seasoning, bring to boil for another 2 minutes.  serve.

Tips : Unfinished soup stock can be frozen as soup base for future cooking.
