Italian Meatball Soup

2 pounds ground beef, knead it well

6-8 small saltines, ground fine

1 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper

1 medium onion, ground

 dash allspice

milk

Mix all ingredients, except milk. Add the milk, mixing with hand until mixture is like soft butter. Form meatballs the size of  quarters. Brown meatballs in shortening. Remove the meatballs from skillet and make a gravy from drippings, flour, water and bouillon cubes to a thin consistency. Simmer 1 1/2 hours. Serve over noodles or rice.
