You will just love this easy recipe to cook delicious creamy tomato soup in Turkish way.

I made some research about tomato soup recipes on the internet and I think in Turkey it is prepared  in a simpler way. I make it even more simple which you might also like and find very practical.

Here is what you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of tomatopaste
  • ½  tablespoon of  red pepper paste
  • 1 glass of milk
  • 3 glasses of chicken broth
  • Salt, grounded black pepper
  • Grated kashar cheese

And here is how you will prepare it:

  • Pour the olive oil in a pan and heat for a minute.
  • Add the flour and stir to mix it with olive oil. Let it get lightly browned over medium heat.
  • Add the tomato and red pepper paste.
  • Add the milk to the pan very slowly and stir.
  • Add chicken broth.
  • Add salt and grounded black pepper.
  • Stir the soup continuously while cooking.
  • Turn the heat off when it becomes as thick as you like it.
  • While serving you might like to sprinkle some grated kashar cheese over it.

Enjoy!

Read these tips before you start cooking:

  • While you are adding the milk over flour, each time ad a little milk and let the flour get saturated with it and then add the next bit. Be patient. This way you will prevent lumps.
  • If you do not have red pepper paste you can add a half more tablespoon of tomato paste.
