Messy Green Bean Casserole

The holiday dish with a twist.

Every year I make this for co-workers and family and every year I am asked for the recipe. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!

Prep time: 10 min

Cook time: 30 min

You will need:

2 cans fresh cut green beans

2 cans cream of mushroom soup

2 cups finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese

I can fried onion toppings

1/4 cup mayo

2 TBS diced pimentos

1 TBS lime juice

Preheat oven to 350.

Line drained green beans on the bottom of a 9X11 casserole dish.

Set aside 1/2 cup cheese. Mix rest of the ingredients together, stirring well with a fork.

Pour mixture on top of the green beans. Spread evenly across the top.

Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of the mixture.

Layer onion toppers evenly over the dish. I usually use the whole can, but you can adjust this according to your preference.

Bake for about 30 minutes or until you see the toppings start to brown.

Let it cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
