Mummu’s Week Night Shepards Pie

A Quick Easy Week Night Favorite.

You will need;

6 potato’s,

1b of lean ground beef

1 medium carrot grated

1 medium onion diced

!/2 tsp of nutmeg.

1/2 tsp of dry mustard

1/2 tsp of garlic powder

1/2 tsp pf sage

salt and pepper to taste

1 package of gravy mix, or

home made beef or mushroom gravy

(you can use your left over gravy)

1 medium can of kernal corn drained

or 1 cup of frozen mixed vegetables.

boil and mash the potato’s ( In a pinch use instant mashed)

Brown ground beef with onion and all the spices

grate the carrot into the almost cooked meat

add the gravy mix and 1 cup of water

simmmer until gravy thickens,

place in a lightly greased casserole dish,

the meat and gravy mixture,

spread vegetable on top,

top with the mashed potato’s

cook in oven at 350 for 20 minutes.

place under broiler for 5- 10 minutes or until the top is browned.

Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes and serve.
