New Year’s Soup 2

Here is a new recipe for a new year meal that will get the year off to a great start.

Finally last year is over. I have never seen so many people happy to see a year end in all my life. It makes sense that we enter a new year with hope and renewed belief that the next year can be better. However, not everything from last year was bad. There were many lessons learned and new ideas started. In order to give gratitude to the past year, here is a new recipe to make use of the good from last year and bring the best forward.

Go into your refrigerator and take out all the vegetables you bought in 2008 and any chicken, or meat of your choice from that year as well, and put them all together in a big pot and make a soup of last years left over ingredients Honestly, use everything that you think will work well together and when it is all finished cooking, invite a friend over that you made last year to enjoy the soup with you. Of course if you have any doubts about the taste of the soup you just cooked up, open a nice bottle of wine you bought last year. Celebrate new friendship moving into a new year together and discuss the things that last year brought your way that have made an impact on you in a positive way. if it was a crazy or horrible thing, no problem, guess what? You are still here eating the soup and enjoying the fullness of last year today. This is new year soup at it’s best. And it is a new way to welcome the abundance of the year ahead. New friendships, food, and good wishes and finishing what last year brought your way.
