Onion-mushroom Soup

This will be good with cheese toast.

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

3 cups thinly sliced onion

2 cups sliced mushrooms

4 cups beef broth

2 cups water

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Grated Parmesan cheese

Method: In large sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion. Cook intil tender, about 8 minutes. Add mushrooms. Cook 5 minutes. Add Worcestershire sauce, water, and pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese before serving. Make six servings.

    nice one, I shall substitute beef broth with vegetable broth and try.
