Quick Chili
Good for when you have unexpected guest or just want a quick and filling meal.
1 to 1&1/2- pounds of ground beef. I use sirloin but any good beef will do
80z can of tomato sauce
16oz can diced tomatoes
celery flakes
minces onion
powdered garlic
horseradish
can of pork and beans
two slices of center cut bacon
chili powder
picante sauce
In a large skillet fry the center cut bacon slices. leave bacon in the skillet and use the oil from the bacon to brown the ground beef.
After the beef is well browned add 1/4 cup celery flakes 1-table spoon minced onion, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, and the can of pork and beans, and the can of diced tomatoes, and the can of tomato sauce, add one cup of water, stir to mix ingredients.
Bring the skillet ingrediants to a simmer then add 1/4 cup of horseradish and two tablespoons of chili powder and half a cup of picante. Add one more cup of water cover with lid and let simmer for about 30 min. check and stir often.
chili is ready to eat in half an hour but the longer it simmers the better it is.
