Russian cuisine, a wonderful Taste
Have you ever wondered about a Russian restaurant, but amazed at the amount of calories that each dish contained? Or maybe, I thought, because these Russians eat soup with meat, pasta, then meat, and then there is drink plenty of rich fruit sugar? Read on, and we are going to tell you where the food comes from Russia and, most importantly, why is it that way.
First of all, remember that Russia, with the exception of the czars, the Bolsheviks are in the country, Revolution, Perestroika and Sputnik have huge amounts of land. It’s so big it takes almost 1/6th of all the land surface on Earth. Apparently, the climate has not always been cordial. In fact, most of the lands of Russia experiences a cold, about 7-8 months a year. That does not leave a lot of heat loving plants, animals and the other for the cultivation of food, or anything heating “good” for it.
These conditions require that food must be stored easily and provide enough energy to survive during the long winter months when food shopping was difficult or impossible. This resulted in dishes such as “Borsh”, which is a heavy vegetable soup with cabbage, beets, and in some recipes, small pieces of meat; “Okroshka” another heavy-based soup or kefir with kvas (ranging Recipe for) boiled eggs, cucumbers, potatoes, beef cubes, onion and a number of additional ingredients or never known; the “Pelmeni” (also known as ravioli) a nice little package of meat (protein) and paste (carbohydrates, fiber ), which is very easy to prepare and consume.
They also created a series of nuts, which are well preserved and most often consumed with a kind of alcoholic beverage (beer, vodka, “samogon”) that are too high to provide energy and stimulating the feeling of warmth, is necessary during cold periods.
Most of the traditional Russian dishes are spicy. However, that such a large country, Russia inevitably happens to be a place where East and West would cross their paths. The roads leading to Europe from Asia – all the way through the premises of Russia. Apparently, more spices and other spices, usually the original Russian food, it was much easier for cooks of business in Russia, as it was for Europeans. The fact that this country has acted in many of the intersection may also explain why the Russian food is a food similar to that of many countries. For example, Russian or pelmeni vareniki are very similar to gnocchi, ravioli from the west and east.
Russian energy meals so far have rarely replaced. Traditional Russian bread and milk for breakfast is not anywhere near (calorie-wise) breakfast of others – the climate in Europe and Asia. Russia “vareniki” or the cream “pelmeni” traditional acid is a killer meal that is heavy enough protein, carbohydrates and fats.
