This is a stew that I made while playing the on-line game, “Star Pirates”, one weekend day, and it turned out very well, thus its name and its simplicity. You can Crock pot this, in a five quart crock pot, or simmer in a large soup pot.
What you need:
2 pounds lean beef stew meat
1 large yellow onions, diced
1 package of frozen peas and pearl onions
3 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 can (15 ounce) of S&W Italian Styled Stewed Tomatoes
1 package frozen stew vegetables
1 can (15 ounce) of S&W black beans
1 can (15 ounce) of S&W dark red kidney beans
1 can (15 ounce) of beef broth
1 can (15 ounce) of cream of onion soup
1 can (15 ounce) of cream of mushroom soup
1 cup of ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup of white wine
1 Tablespoon of Butter
1/2 teaspoon of Oregano, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Lawry’s seasoned salt.
Sprinkle of paprika
1 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
STEP ONE
In a skillet, use the extra virgin olive oil to coat the pan
place in the butter and let it melt slowly
place diced onion,Oregano, Paprika, mince garlic, into pan and cook until the onions are translucent.
Stirring the ingredients constantly.
Once the onion has turned translucent, slowly pour in the wine and reduce.
After this has been achieved, remove the onions and place into crock-pot.
STEP TWO
Place beef into pan and brown until all pink is gone.
Add Lawry’s seasoned Salt, Salt, Pepper in with the beef
Once browned place the beef into the crock-pot (alternately you may add the ingredients into a large soup pot but if you plan on doing so you will need to boil the potatoes, until they are half cooked, in a separate pot first.)
Add all the other ingredients, including the potatoes in the Crock-pot, cook on low for seven hours.
Its ready and its good. Enjoy.
