2 pounds stew meat (do not brown)
1 cup each tomatoes and green beans
6 small carrots (cut up)
4 or 5 potatoes (cut up)
1 medium onion (chopped)
1/2 cup celery (chopped)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons minute tapioca
1 slice bread (broken up)
1 cup cold water (add more if needed)
Mix all ingredients, pour into a large baking dish which has been greased. Cover and bake at 325* for 3 1/2 hours.
