Super Easy Comfort Food
It’s cold outside and nothing makes you feel better than some gold old comfort food. Here are a few of my favorite and there easy to do.
Chicken pot pie
2 cups of cooked chopped chicken
2 bags of frozen mixed vegetables
2 large cans of cream of mushroom soup
2 cans of grands biscuit
First begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl combine chicken, vegetables and soup and mix everything together. In a greased deep baking dish pour in the mixture and place the biscuits on top. Bake in the oven for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown. You can use whatever kind of meat you have on hand just make sure it’s cooked first.
Quick an easy beef stew
1 package of stew meat
1 package of frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup of chopped potatoes
1/2 cup of chopped onions (optinonal)
1 package of beef stew seasoning mix ( this can be found where ever you get your seasonings)
1 TBPS of flour (for thickening)
In a large quart pan cook your stew meat first if its thaw should take about 30 minutes if frozen let it cook for about 1 hour. Then after your meat is cooked add in the seasoning and flour and make sure everything is stir together and blended after that add your vegetables and let cook stiring occasionaly for about 2 hours on low heat.
Chili cheese fries
1/2 lb of hamburger
1 bag of french fries
1 package of cheese
1 can of chili
Preheat oven to 350 degress and on a cookie sheet lay your french fries out and bake about 15 to 20 minutes or until they start to brown. While your fries are baking in a fry pan fry your hamburger and add the chili seasoning at the same time your hamburger is frying you can heat up your chilli either in a saucepan or mircowave. If you happened to have leftover homemade chili this is a perfect way to get rid of left overs.
Once you have everything done put a few fries on your plate and add the hamburger/chili mix and cheese and whatever other toppings you want.
