Taste the Talumein………

TALUMEIN SOUP

 

Ingredients:   

For stock:

  • Onions                         3
  • Potatoes                       3

 

Method:         

For stock

  1. Cut onions and potatoes into big pieces.
  2. Add 6-7 cups of water and put in a pressure cooker.
  3. When cooked, blend vegetables in a mixie and strain.

Ingredients:

  • Carrots                         100 grams, chopped.
  • French beans                100 grams, chopped.
  • Cabbage                      200 grams, chopped.
  • Corn flour                     11/2 Tbsp.
  • Worchester Sauce        1 Tbsp.
  • Noodles boiled in salted water.
  • Soya bean sauce           1 Tsp.
  • Ajinomotto                   ¼ Tsp.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.

 

Method:

  1. Heat the stock; add carrots, beans, cook for 5 minutes. Add Worchester sauce.
  2. Add corn flour mixed with little cold water and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Then add noodles and lastly add very finely chopped cabbage and all other vegetables.
  4.  

TIP: Serve with vinegar, chilly sauce
