Vegetable Chili

1 pound ground beef
1 cup fresh or frozen chopped onion
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
3/8 cup water
1 to 2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt

In saucepan, cook beef and onion until beef is browned. Drain off fat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover; simmer until vegetables are done, about 40 minutes. Yield: 4 servings.
