Vegetarian Recipes #1 French Cabbage Soup

published by Jennifer A Dombrowski on Jun 15, 2011

Here is a delicious recipe for all of you who don’t eat meat.

1 medium sized cabbage

1 pound of potatoes

1 ounce butter

3 pints of milk and water equal parts

pepper and salt to taste

1 dessert teaspoon sized finely chopped parsley

2 blades of mace

1 dessert spoon sized Allinson fine wheatmeal

Wash the cabbage and shred it finely. Peel the potato and cut into small pieces. Boil the vegetables in milk and water until quite tender, adding the mace, butter and seasoning. When it is quite soft, rub the wheatmeal smooth with  little water, let it simmer with the soup for 5 minutes, add parsley and serve.

Will try with Olive Oil instead of Butter, and Coriander Leaves instead of Parsley, and Indianise for my taste buds.

To Indianise I will use Sesame Oil instead of Butter, and Coriander instead of Parsley.
