French toast is a huge favorite in my house. Make that french toast look like dessert and it is even better. Luckily, some whole wheat breead and ricotta cheese can make this sweet treat of a breakfast healthy and satisfying.

This is a doubly unusual cake. Firstly It’s based on an old English “tart” – a teatime favourite, Bakewell Tart but it isn’t a tart, it’s a cake. And secondly, it’s not a normal cake – it contains no fat!!

Making Chambord started in France, but this recipe tells you how to make some really excellent variations on the original recipe.

This moist chocolate traybake/slice sounds perfect for an autumn Sunday afternoon tea as it contains blackberries and walnuts which are in season here in the UK from around September.

This sounds really weird and I haven’t given it a go, but when I actually look at the ingredients I can see how it would work! As per usual, I’ve given a few alternative ingredients!
