Over here in the UK we tend to have our pork chops rather boringly cooked – grilled, fried or casseroled, often served with seasonal veg and apple sauce but this recipe breaks away from that and gives a slightly more unusual twist!

I’ve been diving under hedges, trudging through English water meadows, and trampling through leafy glades to find these two quick, easy, cheap and filling versions of plain, common all garden mushrooms on toast! Another one perhaps for all you youngsters out there who are hoping to go off to Uni in September!?

Here’s a quick and easy, delicious and filling vegetarian brunch or lunch (or any time!) recipe which I’ve been meaning to try out since the beginning of the month and then forward on to all you foodies out there. If you’re not tempted by a veggie version, try adding some bacon or ham! I also think this would be a great starter for a dinner party.

A very indulgent, yet ever so simple delicious hot pudding.
Chocolate, nuts and vanilla with a buttery bread make this a light and moreish pudding.
Delicious served warm with greek yogurt and strawberries.
