Trying different foods from various cultures is a great way to add some excitement as well as new flavors to dinner time. I’ve found most are wonderfully delicious and make my meals fun and interesting to eat. There are hundreds of ways to fix chicken besides just plain baked, fried or barbecued and this is one of my favorites. It is from Mexico and it is delicious.

More often than not though I try to make something fruity unless the occasion calls for something specific like a favorite birthday cake. Poached pears are one of my favorites. Fauhkeesupah (Greek Lentil Soup)

I used to have an elderly Greek lady for a neighbor several years ago and I loved visiting with her. She told marvelous stories about the "old Country" and she always served delicious soup. She insisted that soup was an important part of the daily diet and made sure that we got our bowl of soup every time we came to visit. She used to make something called Faukeesupah, a soup made with lentils and it is oh so good. Read more…
