BBQ Chicken Cheese Steak

published by nikern20 on Mar 16, 2010

This Cheese Steak is sweet with a mild melty cheese on top.

For those that love the philly cheesesteak and want to slightly healthen it up.  I don’t think this is your cheese steak.  It’s covered in delicious Colby Jack Cheese and Jack Daniel’s Barbeque Sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 mostly thawed Chicken Breast (sliced thin)
  • 1/3 cup Jack Daniel’s Original BBQ Sauce
  • 2 Tsp Paprika
  • 1 Clove Garlic minced
  • 1/4 Onion Minced
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Amoroso Roll (or Hoagie Roll)
  • 2-3 Slices of Colby or Monterey Jack Cheese

Recipe

  • Pull out your mostly Thawed Chicken Breast from the fridge
  • Slice it into really thin slices
  • Hit it with the salt and pepper
  • In a medium sized pan over medium high heat add the olive oil
  • When the oil just begins to smoke add your onions then your garlic
  • Stir til all is coated in oil
  • Sprinkle with a little salt
  • After about 3-5 minutes add in the Chicken slices
  • Cook until opaque and add the paprika
  • Add the BBq Sauce and bring it to a boil
  • Scoop the mixture onto your Hoagie Roll
  • Top it with cheese and either broil or toast it until the cheese is evenly melty
  • Enjoy!

Great Recipe turned out delicious! I would recommend using Picky Vicki BBQ Sauce in this Recipe. I used Nice n’ Sweet Mild from http://www.pickyvicki.com/.
