Best Multi-Seed Homemade Bread Ever

published by Misty Wood on Jul 30, 2009

A very simple recipe for multi-seed wholemeal bread perfect for the breadmaker.

Ingredients

Place ingredients in the bread pan in the following order:

  • 320ml warm (blood heat) water
  • 2 tbsp skimmed milk powder
  • 2 tbsp oil (I use extra virgin olive oil but you can use any, pumpkin works well too…)
  • 175g stoneground wholemeal bread flour
  • 300g stong white bread flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.25 tsp caster sugar
  • 1 tsp fast action yeast
  •  Seeds: 2 tsp of each pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, linseed, poppyseed. (If you have a breadmachine with a nut dispenser put them in this.)

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients in the breadpan in the order listed above.
  2. Select the standard white bread setting (normally 3-4hrs), if your breadmachine has a nut dispenser select the setting that uses this.
  3. Wait for the bread to cook…

Enjoy – warm with butter.
