Tilapia Cakes

Quick, Easy, Delicious. Just like Tuna Cakes, but Tilapia absorbs more flavors so I liked these better!
This is part 3 in my Tilapia series of delights. Here are links to the other two delicious recipes!
1: Mandarin Orange Glazed Tilapia
Tilapia cakes are just as good, if not better than Tuna Cakes. I think the texture is even closer to crab than Tuna can get so it’s even more of a plus for me. Let’s get started shall we.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp Mustard
- 2 tsp Relish
- 1 tbsp Bread Crumbs Italian Seasoned
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Dill
- 2 Tilapia Filets
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp Olive Oil (Just for the pan for frying!!!)
Method
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Place the 2 tilapia filets on a small baking pan
- Hit them with the salt, pepper, and dill
- Toss them in the heated oven for 7-10 minutes until flaky
- Take them out of the Oven
- Toss them into a bowl
- Break them up with a wooden spoon until small and tuna from a can like
- Toss them in a fridge for about a half hour to an hour
- When they’re cold, mix them up with the remaining ingredients
- Pat them into small patties
- In a pan heat to medium high heat and add the oil
- Put the patties into the oil and wait 3 or 4 minutes until the bottom is getting a golden brown
- Flip them and repeat the 3 to 4 minutes for another side of golden brown
- Remove from pan
- EAT!
I hope you guys like these, I love them and eat them quite constantly. Let me know what you think!
