Apple Crumble

Here’s a great recipe on how to make apple Crumble. I really enjoyed eating it. Try it and am sure you will enjoy it.

Things needed

110g plain flour

1  tsp ground cinnamon powder

170g chilled butter, cubed

100g soft brown sugar

30g rolled oats

4 golden delicious apples

2 tbsp lemon juice

Method

Preheat the oven to 190˚C. Lightly grease an over proof dish with a little melted butter.

Combine flour with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a mixing bowl. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Add half of the soft brown sugar and oats to mix into the crumble mixture.

Core the apples and cut into quarters then into wedges.

Arrange the apple wedges in the prepared greased dish. Pour the lemon juice over and toss well, to coat them. Combine the remaining soft brown sugar with the rest of the cinnamon powder; sprinkle the mixture over apples. Toss well to combine. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top to completely cover the apples.

Put the dish on a baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until the crumble topping is golden and the apples are tender when they are tested with a skewer. Serve this nice and warm.
