Gena’s Chinese Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry Recipe

Ingredients:
375 grams of lean beef (sliced up thinly into bite-sized slices)
Beef marinade:
1 egg
1/3 tsp of salt
1 Tbsp of cooking wine
1 Tbsp of cornstarch (corn flour or tapioca flour)
2 Tbsp water
1 1/2 Tbsp of oil
750 g of broccoli, flowers got rid of, cut into the diagonally or into thin slices
1 cup of cooking oil
2 1/2 Tbsp oyster sauce
2 Tbsp of light soy sauce
3/4 Tbsp of dark soy sauce (for colouring)
1 Tbsp of sugar
A couple of drop-offs of sesame oil
2 cloves of garlic, (crushed)
1/2 cup of chicken broth
2 Tbsp cornstarch/cornflour (if desired)
Directions:
Get the Sliced beef and mix together and then marinate the ingredients. Add together marinaded to the beef and let it sdet for thirty minutes. Add together 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of oil to the beef, and blend in thoroughly, and then marinate the beef for another thirty minutes. Whilst the beef is marinating, start to prepare the vegetables.
Heat up the wok and add together about 1 cupful of oil. When oil is prepared and hot, add together the beef and stir-fry till it is almost cooked. Remove the beef and set aside on a another plate. Drain out the wok and wipe it clean with a paper towel.
Add together 1/2 cup of water to the wok. Bring the water to a boiling point and add together the broccoli. Cover up and cook until broccoli is cooked. Then drain the wok.
Heat up the wok and add together the oil (about 2 tablespoons). Add together the garlic and stir-fry for almost 1 minute. Add together vegetables and beef and mix together. Make well in the center of the wok and add together the sauce components. Add cornstarch/cornflour, stirring constantly to thicken the sauce. Mix sauce together with the other ingredients. Serve hot. Serves about 3 to 4 people
